Breakthroughs A Hidden Curse?
S ince the dawn of mankind, humans have always sought ways to revolutionize traditional methods in search of comfort. From the discovery of the 'wheel' to the invention of the internet, these breakthroughs have emerged as solutions to various problems. However, one may question whether our quest for solutions has inadvertently created more problems. Undoubtedly, problems are inevitable and persist throughout history. Thus, the real question is, "Are breakthroughs a hidden curse?" There exists an ongoing debate, but many would agree that humankind is perpetually driven to pursue something greater and bigger (no pun intended). As seen in the dominance and expansionism of the 20th century, this drive has spurred breakthroughs.
